Note : Miyamoto Musashi (c. 1584–1645) was an undefeated swordsman with over 60 duels. He killed his first opponent at 13 and famously defeated Sasaki Kojirō. Musashi pioneered the two-sword style Niten Ichi-ryū, using both katana and wakizashi with deadly skill.
Sasaki Kojirō (c. 1585–1612) was a master swordsman known for his long blade and the swift Tsubame Gaeshi technique. He founded the Ganryū school and gained fame for his elegance and skill. Kojirō met his end in a legendary duel against Miyamoto Musashi on Ganryūjima, where Musashi struck him down with a wooden sword.
