These 2 consecutive original pages are from the second coming of Moonlight Mask.
The dark, cinematic style, that Jiro Kuwata also used in the Batmanga is very much present. Moonlight Mask is credited as the inspiration for Marvel's Moon Knight
Jiro Kuwata's manga adaptation of Moonlight Mask (Gekkō Kamen) was originally serialized in Kodansha’s Shōnen Club magazine from May 1958 to December 1960. This serialization closely followed the debut of the live-action television series, which premiered in February 1958. Kuwata's dynamic artwork and storytelling significantly contributed to the manga's popularity, enhancing the magazine's circulation during that period.
The final chapter of Kuwata's original run was titled "Satan's Defeat", marking the conclusion of the series. This chapter was later included in a comprehensive nine-volume reedition released in 2023, which compiled all chapters, including those illustrated by Kuwata's assistant, Takaharu Kusunoki.
