Kenji Nanba (1940) studied manga under Yoshiteru Takano . After graduating, he entered Asagaya Art College and quickly started working as an assistant to Takao Saito and drew action manga and period drama for rental manga .
In Saito's manga production group " Gekiga Group ", he released many gekiga such as the "SN Series"
He established Nanba Productions and during the period of rental comics, especially the "Attack Action Series", which depicts the activities of the U.S. military after the Normandy landings, was a huge success !
After that, with the decline of rental graphic novels, he moved into manga magazines and drew many hard action graphic novels for " Weekly Shonen King ", " Weekly Shonen Magazine ", " Weekly Manga Action ", etc.
Toshio Maeda was his assistant
