Saburo Fukuda was one of the great mangaka in the post-war period until the late 1960s! He drew a particularly large number of Shõnen manga of which ‘Sarutobi Sasuke’ is his best-known series. His stories are usually filled with ninjas, samurai, slapstick humour and funny situations. Later in life, he published many historical works and study manga based on the lives of famous Japanese people (Gakken publishing).
